Author
Scott Emmons has written for Hallmark Cards, JibJab, and the hit Netflix series "Storybots: Answer Time," for which he won an Emmy Award.
​
His published children's books include, "Hugo Makes a Change," and many titles in the StoryBots series (among many other adventures).
​
He lives in Kansas City with his wife, their son, and their two cats, Hector and Alex.
Stacey Lamb
Illustrator
Stacey Lamb has been an artist since the age of 10 years old drawing PEANUTS characters. Stacey worked at Hallmark Cards for 30 years as an illustrator. After lotsa fun there, she left and started her own company called HAPPYtown
At HAPPYtown, she creates games and activities for children in hospitals and for families, as well as for play therapists, social workers, grief counselors, early educators, and many others.
She lives in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband, Brent, and barn kitties Betty and her new suitor Baker. Stacey and Brent have two kids — Emily, who lives with her wife Nina, and Scott, who's married to Alyssa.


Katherine Melton, MPH, MCHES


Mental Health Professional
Katherine Melton is a public and mental health professional. She has worked in the field since 2012 as a consultant and an advocate for mental health.
Katherine's work focuses on comprehensive "well-being" practices and mental health promotion; focusing heavily on organizational and employee wellbeing, increased access to care, and grief and recovery support.
Dana Wyss, Ph.D, LMFT, RPT
Mental Health Professional
Dr. Dana Wyss is a licensed marriage and family therapist, board-certified clinical art therapist, registered play therapist and is coauthor of “The Invisible String Workbook.”

Her doctorate in expressive therapies has led her to create programs integrating art, music, poetry, dance, science and animal-assisted therapy in the healing process for clients and self-care for staff.
Among many other roles, Dr. Wyss is a professor, trainer, therapist and supervisor who specializes in complex trauma, divorce/separation, adoption/foster care, military, military families, first responders, self-injury/suicidality and grief work.

Dr. Wyss resides in Southern California where she is also an artist who uses art and play for her own healing.
